Timeline for early applicants only (schools with rolling admission policies) who plan to enter medical in 2010. Most applicants will not need to take advantage of the early deadline.
Please refer to the University of Arkansas Applicant instruction packet you will receive at the mandatory application workshop for additional dates and details.
Deadline date and time for "Early Applicants" to turn in application materials to the Premedical Advisory Committee (PMAC) reserved for only students with MCAT scores reported by June, 2009.
May 28, 2009- last date to take the MCAT to have scores available for the PMAC meeting in July of 2009.
2009 Applicant standard timeline for 2010 entering year to medical school:
July 1, 2009 Submit list of recommendation letter writers to Dr. Allison
August 3, 2009 Earliest time to sign up for the scheduled meetings to submit application materials in August.
August 18, 19, 20 Meetings to turn in application materials to the Premedical Advisory Committee for evaluation for the 2009 application year (standard application timeline) for students entering medical school in 2010. These 3 meetings meetings will be held in CHEM 144 at 5 pm on the 18, 19, and 20th of August, 2009. You must attend one of these meetings to submit your application materials. If you are not available during the August 18-20, 2009 dates, you can submit your application materials in person BEFORE these dates by making prior arrangements with either Dr. Neil Allison, nallison@uark.edu or Dr. Jeanne McLachlin, jeannem@uark.edu
August 25, 2009 Noon FINAL DEADLINE
Deadline date and time to only add or swap out application materials. This is not a date for submission of your application packet, only last minute changes as the result of errors or omissions discovered during the Aug. 18-20 submission meetings.
Deadline date and time for personal letters of recommendation to arrive at the Chemistry Department and be included in your application materials for the Premedical Advisory Committee review process.
