January 25, 2007 : Welcome Back Pizza Party
Start the new year off with pizza. We will have information about summer research opportunities, AED Executive positions and will accept any membership forms from students wanting to join AED. See above for new member application instructions.

February 12, 2007: AED 2007 Initiation Banquet
New members for 2007 will be initiated. You must have earned 44-45 hours by January, 2007 and a 3.2 Science/Math GPA to join. All current members of AED are encouraged to attend the banquet. Elections of new executive officers will take place at the banquet.

TBA: UAMS Center for Diversity Affairs
Representatives will visit our campus to talk about two outreach programs offered at the College of Medicine in Little Rock during the summer of 2007. The Undergraduate Summer Science Enrichment Program (USSEP) is a 6-week program for students interested in medical school. This program is an excellent opportunity for students who would like to reinforce their science knowledge and prepare for the MCAT.

TBA: Field-Trip to UAMS in Little Rock
All premedical students are invited to tour the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences College. This will be an all-day trip to Little Rock. We will car-pool. Students will have the opportunity to visit the Institute on Aging, the neonatal care unit, the operating room gallery, and many other points of interest. There will also be an opportunity to meet with current medical students who completed their undergraduate work at UA Fayetteville.

April 23-26, 2007: Mandatory Medical School Application Workshops
This workshop is offered on 4 different days. It is intended for ALL 2006 applicants to medical school who plan on entering medical school in August of 2007. It is essential that you attend one of these workshops to receive instructions and deadlines to be eligible for an evaluation letter from the University of Arkansas Premedical Advisory Committee.
