Dr. Neil Allison

Dr. Neil Allison has held the Liebolt Chair of Premedical Sciences since 2002. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and has an active research program in addition to teaching Organic Chemistry. Dr. Allison's research centers on the study of organotransition metal chemistry and its relationships to mechanistic and synthetic organic chemistry.

Dr. Allison advises the premed students in their Junior and Senior years and is the Chair of the Premedical Advisory Committee. He also meets with prospective students and their parents, conducts workshops on how to apply to medical school, acts as one of the Faculty Advisors for the premedical honor society, Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), and is a member of the NAAHP, the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions and is a University of Arkansas Section Counselor of the American Chemical Society.
